“Don’t be anything you don’t want to be, always be yourself”

“Sky is the Limit”— My Favorite Positive Song

28 Oct

No other song makes me as motivated and uplifted than Rebelution’s “Sky is the Limit.”

The modern reggae and funk feel of the song immediately gets you nodding your head. Eric Rachmany’s voice soothes your nerves and makes you smile. But the lyrics will truly make improve your attitude.

Did someone else bring you down? A perfect outlook exists in these lyrics: “You’re trying to hold me back and that’s fine. Nothing you say or do is worth my time. Good day to you, I respectfully decline. And now I’m coming stronger than ever. You say I’m a fool; I say whatever.”

Not feeling positive about your goals? “Sky is the limit. So out of my way, you can’t get me down.”

Please listen to the song. You’ll get the whole effect and feel a million times better.

“Kindness has a way of reaching down into a weary heart and making it shine like the rising sun”

4 Reasons Why Being Love Is Physically Good For You

11 Oct

1. Improved Mood

  • Physical contact with your partner is good for your mental well-being. Hugging, cuddling and sex can put you in better spirits and help you relax.

2. Lengthens Your Life

  • People who died unmarried tend to live significantly shorter lives than married couples. It is said that couples tend to influence each other into living healthier lifestyles

3. Love is Literally Healing

  • Couples who are in love tend to heal more quickly than single people. In a study, people in love with physical wounds tended to heal one day sooner than those who were not.

4.  Increase Your Self-Confidence

  • When someone is in love with you, it makes you feel good about yourself. Most people are happiest with themselves personally when they are in love.

Family Forever

30 Sep

I love my family. I absolutely adore them. Yet, for many years, I thought about them less and less. I was too excited to get out on my own and be my own person. I didn’t need anyone else, I was completely independent.

My mother and grandparents came to visit me yesterday, and it struck a very deep chord within me that I didn’t even know existed. Being surrounded in so much love and admiration, I didn’t want it to stop. I wanted to suck in those feelings forever and never let them escape.

Your family is the most important force in your life. I understand that many people may not have been blessed with a loving family. But in reality, your family is the people who make you feel at home. Never let those people escape you, and cherish them while you can. Life is too short to be alone.

Whatever’s good for your soul, do that

Chipper With Cats

14 Sep

Fluffy faces and petite paws, cats dive deep into my heart.  Whenever I come home for a weekend trip, I snag up my kittens and shower them in love. These creatures make me happier than most people do.  Having Luna curled up next to me while I have my morning cup of coffee soothes my soul. Their little quirks and unique personalities rival them to the more popular dogs.

Animals provide a calming nature to their owners. Whether you’re a cat person or a dog person, having a pet can help you de-stress after a miserable day at work or class. Petting a kitty can help lower your heart rate. Our furry friends can even help people with mild to moderate depression.  Cats are great at sensing emotions, and they are quick to comfort their owners when they are feeling down. Unconditional love and loyalty make cats and dogs some of the best friends you can ask for.
